Intersecting & Diverse Identities at UIUC
On this panel, our diverse student population at UIUC is represented by professionals in the following areas: visible and non-visible disabilities, LGBTQ+, African American, Asian American, Native American, & Latina/o & student athletes to provide a better understanding of students intersecting identities. None of us are “just one thing” (i.e. race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, abIlity status). Synchrony Financial will join the panel to talk about how they create an inclusive / ally-based culture, the actions they put into motion in 2020, and how they have increased focus on diversity discussions in a transparent way.
Recruiting for Soft Skills
In a technology driven world, the so-called "soft skills" have become more important than ever. Learn strategies for attracting students with strong communication and problem-solving abilities, who can function well in conditions of uncertainty and pivot in response to changing realities.
Recruiting through Experiential Learning at Illinois
Experiential learning provides an opportunity for employers to build their brand, provide real-world experience for students, and assess student talent. Join this panel with representatives from programs across campus to learn about our programs and how you can get involved.
